BMMF to host live-painter Ken Tucker - blog post image

BMMF to host live-painter Ken Tucker

It’s not just great music from the likes of Katie-Miller Heidke & Missy Higgins that has festival goers excited about the upcoming Blue Mountains Music Festival (BMMF). Goers, at this year’s BMMF, will be treated to Ken Tucker's artistic technical and creative flair in his "live painting production" to be held at ONE88.

Relishing the interaction between viewers and his emerging artwork, Ken has an uncanny ability to transform a blank canvas into a detailed, engaging artwork for all to witness.

With an impressive "live performance" CV, Ken has been painting for years at several corporate, charity, private and public events in front masses of crowds. Venues such as Sydney Entertainment and Conference Centre, Sharkies Club, Novotel Wollongong, Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club etc. have hosted Ken on centre stage creating masterpieces.

Asides from performing live, Ken loves sharing his passion & knowledge of art, teaching at over 40 plus schools in the Sutherland, Illawarra & Campbelltown Shires, and frequently running workshops for many of NSW's Art Societies.

While being highly sought after for commissions for both private and corporate collections, Ken continues to contribute to many regional and suburban art scenes through his live painting performances' at events, curatorial advice, judging of competitions/exhibitions, as well as guest speaking.

From his masterful figurative to his impressionistic landscapes; and his large scale engaging abstractions; Ken's artworks continue to reflect his ongoing technical interest in detailing light, and in-depth experimentation of colour and mediums, throughout his work.

Be sure to swing by GalleryONE88 during the festival and see some spectacular artwork unfold before your very own eyes.
