Exhibit: 'Chasing Lines' goes the extra mile

From April 24th to May 6th, GalleryONE88 is displaying the expressive works from acclaimed National Geographic photographer, Aidan Williams.

You may have heard the phrase ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’, but have you ever paused to contemplate the inner determination held within athletes to get there? The exhibit ‘Chasing Lines’ captures the elements of the human psyche that drive achievement and loss in high-level sporting athletes.

Williams has been named Australasia's Top Emerging Photographer for 2018, an esteemed Award held by Capture Magazine.

A word from the artist...

"The photographs in this exhibition are observations and representations of the emotional, physical & personal investment involved in exploring distinctive objectives. The time I spent with these athletes confirmed to me that doubt, hesitation and fear can be extinguished through a mindset that reflects personal & physical success at all costs.I was in turn challenged to represent this creatively through my photography.

"The concept ‘chasing lines’ through photo media provides a visual metaphor for a life journey and sought destination. Showcasing the individual, characterising the subject’s personality and unique style. To discover and represent the corollary behind and in front of the photograph is an integral and pivotal part associated with the photographic process." - Aidan Williams.

2018 has been a triumphant year for William's with accolades abound, his work continues to inspire.
